BR was founded in 2013 and expanded its business successfully over Asia and Middle East within five years by helping organisations of different industries to build their employees’ capabilities and skills set. These include education institutions, government bodies, financial institutions and hospitality organisations.
BR is based in Singapore with a team of training and project veterans who share the same passion for helping organisations to achieve desired business outcomes.

How we started?
Once upon a time...
In 2013, our founder (a salesperson at that time) needed to do presentation to clients. Many times, clients were impressed with the presentation deck and asked who the designer was. “Isn’t this part of sales job to make impressive presentation with simplified data tables?” It was a shock to realise many companies do not even bother to use effective and well-designed presentation. “I shall start a company to create awareness to others who need to sell using presentation!”
Here comes the idea
It was just within two months that Blak Rice Pte Ltd was established. Presentation deck design is only the beginning. Any company needs two things to impress and deliver the right message to clients: branding and profits! Very quickly, the next training programme was developed: Spreadsheet analysis skills.
Opportunity knocks…
Indeed, chances came and Blak Rice Pte Ltd secured a few projects specializing in spreadsheet and data analysis skills that business was great. Our trainers had to work six days a week for the next five years. Business expanded overseas at the same time.
From idea to innovation
Of course, competition is inevitable. Others get in the game too. We have to move very quickly into the niche market that makes us the leader in training industry. We developed courses and seminars on health topics and work with partners in the healthcare industry. Training is not the only way of doing business. We need to provide a full package for human capital development, that is, improving the work team to a quality workforce. Up to today, we do research, project management, consultancy and packages for organization seeking transformation and enhancement to employees’ performance as a lean team.
